The nearest airport to Isla Mujeres, Mexico that serves commercial flights is Cancun International Airport (CUN). Do not book a flight that lands to the Cancun Airport after 8:45 PM (the last ferry to the island is at 11:00 PM) Do not book a flight that departs the Cancun airport before 9:30 AM. (The first ferry from the island in the morning is 6:00 AM, with a 6:20 AM pick up, you will arrive at the airport by approximately 7:00 AM.)

Happy Shuttle
We recommend booking with Happy Shuttle for shuttles from the Cancun International Airport to the Puerto Juarez Ultramar Ferry to Isla Mujeres. You can book online with a credit card and use code X. We recommend to select the option including your ferry tickets so the shuttle can provide them upon arrival (saves you a step.) It is a flat rate private shuttle for up to 8 people so if you are traveling with a group it is best to take the same flight.

Taxi
The price scales from $40 - $88 pesos. (Prices subject to change). Be sure to ask the price before taking off to avoid a surprise at the end of the ride. Taxis can be hailed just about anywhere in Isla (4 door red cars.) The taxi stand is just to the left of the ferry dock when you arrive and the official rates are posted on the wall. Most drivers only speak spanish. Cash Mexican Pesos is required for payment. to hotel/house

Golf carts are the main mode of transportation. For easy travel on the south of the island, we strongly recommend renting one for your group. You can drive anywhere on the island in roughly 20 minutes and there is only one main road so it is tough to get lost!
